As we take on this exciting new challenge, we are seeking a Graphic Designer to join our growing team!

As we work with a hybrid remote policy, even before Covid, we will continue to adapt this method as we continue to navigate the guidelines administered by public health. Please note, only residents of the Lower Mainland will be considered at this time as we do require team members to collaborate in office and/or in person as needed. This is not a full-time remote opportunity.

An integral part of the Corporate Marketing team, the ideal candidate is a creative marketing professional, with a strong graphic design background and has the skills and abilities to effectively increase MLA Canada’s brand presence and influence in the marketplace, Generate Leads for Business Development and Corporate Sales, Secure intelligent media to boost sales

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

Depending on your experience and knowledge, your core responsibilities will be, but not limited to:
  • Ensure consistency across brand touchpoints
  • Elevate our design by generating innovative ideas, finding new visual ways to tell our story, and create engaging experiences across all client, industry, and homebuyer touchpoints.
  • Translate business marketing objectives into designs that are clear, compelling, visually exciting, uplifts our services, projects and/or values and is emotionally compelling.
  • Constructively collaborate with Corporate Marketing team and liaise with internal leaders on design projects
  • Develop integrated/strategic design approaches and visual identity systems in support of MLA Canada-wide projects.
  • Visually communicate MLA Canada stories that resonate with intended audiences through graphic design, email design, writing, photography, and video
  • Create brand guidelines, PPT presentations, UI and digital marketing assets, sales handouts, branding identity designs etc.
  • Create innovative and appealing assets for social channels (Instagram, Facebook, Stories/Reels and other channels as needed) in partnership with Corporate Marketing Coordinator and Project Marketing Managers
  • Responsible for decisions regarding design for digital channels and UX/UI design hierarchy
  • Manage design and print formatting, methodology and techniques used, and preparing files for print production adhering to project budgets and project timelines
  • Use project management tools to effectively communicate the status, needs, roadblocks of a design project. Experience with Asana is an asset
  • Collaborate with other outside design agencies for larger projects when required
  • Designing, maintaining and troubleshooting corporate website with a focus on user-experience

Requirements

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE

  • 3+ years of relevant graphic design experience 
  • A passion for design as a storytelling medium demonstrated through a portfolio of corporate marketing brand communications and design projects
  • Strong understanding of the fundamental principles of design (composition, typography, emphasis, contrast, balance and alignment, pacing and proportion)
  • Proficient experience designing for social media
  • High level of proficiency with the following: Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Acrobat) and Microsoft Office (Sharepoint, Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, and Powerpoint)
  • Works well under pressure and to deadlines
  • Results driven
  • Solid interpersonal and presentation skills with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely
  • Real estate experience and Asset but not required
  • Agency experience an asset but not required
