Join MLA Canada, Western Canada’s premier real estate marketing organization! MLA Canada is looking for a People Operations Manager to join our professional and dynamic organization managing all labour-related affairs for the company. Working out of the downtown office you will be an integral part of creating a positive workplace environment for our staff. This individual will be helping us meet reporting deadlines and ensure reliable, accurate information is provided to key decision makers in a timely manner. Your core responsibilities will be but not limited to:
 

  • Oversee all company-wide HR and corporate operations
  • Oversee all recruitment, hiring, training, development, and termination of company employees in line with corporate goals, core values and corporate culture
  • Be a brand ambassador for our core values and culture
  • Strategically identify resources and steps for career growth and coordinate leadership development programs for employees
  • Perform employee performance evaluations, coaching, and counselling and create strategies on employee relations, morale, compensation and retention
  • Build strong and positive relationships with staff, particularly senior leadership group
  • Develop all Human Resource processes and functions for the company and ensure company initiatives are delivered through standard business practices
  • Update current policies and documentation as needed
  • Facilitate conflict resolution within the organization
  • Complete tasks including processing timely payroll, benefits administration, salary adjustments, and promotions
  • Stay informed of all labor legislation and understand its impact on company management and policy maintenance
  • Identify human resources process and procedure inefficiencies and take appropriate steps to make improvements

REQUIREMENTS

  • At least 5 years’ experience or background in a Human Resources capacity with knowledge of HR procedures and policies
  • Passion for HR, taking ownership of your work, developing new strategies and processes and attention to detail
  • Superior interpersonal skills with a hands-on, positive attitude
  • Strong communication skills, active listener and relationship builder
  • Bachelor’s Degree in HR or related field; CHRP designation is an asset
  • Previous real estate experience is an asset
  • Exceptional ability to implement good recruiting and staffing practices, including performance management, research, training, and development
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organization skills and the utmost regard for confidentiality
  • Ability to proactively plan and coordinate responsibilities within a team-work environment
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office Suite
  • Experience with HR management software is an asset
